The first signature cap in our offer was created as a collaboration project of one of the best Slovenian basketball players, Goran Dragić, and a well-known and beloved brand New Era.

The cap is available exclusively in Grosbasket, and a part of the earnings will go back to Goran Dragić’s Foundation, so besides looking good, you’re also doing something for others!

Dragić is an NBA All-Star and NBA's Most Improved Player, currently playing for the Miami Heat. He was also the captain of the Slovenian national team when they won the European Championship in 2017. He got his nickname The Dragon in 2008 by his former teammate, Steve Nash, because nobody could pronounce his last name when he came to the league. The dragon also represents his fighting and persisting spirit that helped him succeed.

The dragon motif is also present on the front side of the cap while on the lateral sides you'll find a stitched New Era logo and GORAN DRAGIĆ caption. You can choose among two different models: the 9FORTY, which is black and has a tightening strap at the back, and the DIAMOND ERA 39THIRTY, which is red and has elastic at the back.

Goran Dragić

Goran Dragić is a professional Slovenian basketball player, who plays for the Toronto Raptors. He began his professional career in Slovenia and then moved to Spain, before joining the NBA in 2008. In 2014, as a member of the Suns, he was named the Most Improved Player. Together with Luka Dončić, he led the Slovenian national team to a gold medal at EuroBasket 2017 and was named MVP of the tournament, while in 2020 he led the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals.
