NIKE FOAMPOSITE

The Nike Air Foamposite debuted in 1997 in two versions – the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Air Foamposite Pro. After 4 years of research and development, they were a groundbreaking model for many reasons, like their high price, construction process, and the new futuristic aesthetics, inspired by a beetle. The technology was dubbed “Foamposite”–a polyurethane liquid that is heated and molded to create a glove-like fit on a shoe. The model was originally intended for Scottie Pippen, but they were popularized by Mike Bibby, Penny Hardaway and Tim Duncan.
