This week, it’s all about Jordan 1s!
There will be some hot Jordan releases and we’re sure you already know all about the AJ1 Highs, but what about the Lows and the Mids?
The AJ1 Lows were first released for Michael Jordan in 1986. Its main inspiration was the Nike Dunk sneaker. Originally, the AJ1 Lows released in several OG colorways mirroring the High, Chicago inspired versions and in some metallic colorways. It returned to sneaker stores in the 2000s and has since seen several retro releases, including some visible collaborations (Eric Koston, Travis Scott, and Dior).
On the contrary, the Air Jordan 1 Mids were not released in the 80s. Jordan introduced the model some 15 years later, in 2001, during the Air Jordan 1s second retro run. The sneaker was developed as more of a lifestyle option as the sneaker’s ankle collar was shortened by several inches. The model hasn’t sold as well as it was expected to, at least not until 2020. This year, Mids experienced a massive boost in popularity and sales thanks to the great designs and some special edition and collaboration releases.
