2022 was the year of some amazing Air Jordan releases
Just like the Chicago Bulls and endless basketball fans said, 2023 is the MJ year, but we just wanted to add that, given all the amazing releases that Air Jordan had during the previous year, the “greatest of all time” left a pretty huge mark on 2022 as well.
This is the final installment in our 2022 flashback series, and it will obviously be dedicated to everything related to the Jumpman and also to the unseen levels of hype for some of the releases we had in our stores. Here are the best among them.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘’Voodoo’’
Ever since he became an NBA player and signed with Jordan, Zion Williamson has amazed fans with his moves on the court and with some crazy colorways of his signature line. Perhaps his most interesting release was for the Zion 2 Voodoo colorway that received a great companion in the form of the exclusive AJ 1 Low OG! Supposedly there are even some lucky sneakerheads who were able to get both of these super popular pairs. One of them is pictured below ;D
Air Jordan 3 ‘’Fire Red’’
AJ 3s are pretty much always among the best Jordan releases and some would even argue that they might be going for the number one position held by AJ 1s. Feel free to add to this debate on our social media while at this point we just want to remember once more the “Fire Red” colorway that took us all the way back 1988 when this amazing basketball shoe was originally released.
Air Jordan 11 ‘’Red Cherry’’
The first ever AJ11 colorway that was somewhat similar to this one was a low that came out in 2001 which made this year’s version something that all people who wear basically only 11s (and there are a lot of them) simply had to add to their collection. We will agree with them – these ones are pretty special from the moment you open the box they are in!
Air Jordan 4 ‘’Military Black’’ & ‘’Midnight Navy’’ & ‘’Red Thunder’’
The 4s are slowly but surely rising in the amount of hype they bring with each new colorway and this is best seen in the fact that during the previous year there were actually three of them among the greatest hits of 2022! Which one is your favorite?
Air Jordan 1 ‘’Lost & Found’’
Well, this one pretty much broke all the records. And rightfully so! We are not sure what more can possibly be said about this iconic piece of basketball history so maybe it’s best to check out what happened when they arrived to our stores:
