It’s typical of Grosbasket that we love basketball. To see basketball everywhere and believe that basketball is intertwined with most of us in one way or another.

One such connection also came from one – at first glance unexpected – direction and this connection eventually evolved into a special project. We found a common language, interest, and intertwining of two different art forms with JH_Boards, a company that makes phenomenal, handmade skateboards.

The Slovenian company JHboards strives to produce boards of the highest quality with an emphasis on the uniqueness of the designs. All products are made according to internationally recognized manufacturing processes, designed with the help of computer programs, and then processed with CNC machines and other advanced technologies, which are considered one of the best in Europe. All boards are made of quality veneer and reinforced fiberglass with epoxy resin.

The special feature of JHboards is that they offer the production of your dream board, perfectly tailored to your wishes in just a few simple steps. Nowadays JHboards are ridden in many European countries. Despite technological improvements, each product remains unique handwork with local production of Slovenian wood.

Together, we have created four unique, extremely limited skateboard models that place images of basketball’s biggest icons on the new platform. The Grosbasket X JH Boards collection combines hand-made skateboards, made of high-quality materials, which are suitable as a cool means of transport or simply as an aesthetic upgrade of your home.

We will open a new design every two days, and behind each design a new basketball legend awaits.

This special collection will be available on display and for purchase in our stores from Monday, March 22, and pre-orders will be possible until then. LeBron James, a child from Akron, Ohio is currently considered to be the best basketball player on Earth. After realization of his dreams and winning two Championship Rings with Miami he returned to his native Cleveland and fulfilled a promise given to the hometown citizens – he brought the title of the NBA League Champion to Cleveland. After that, he faced a new challenge – winning a title with the LA Lakers and bringing them back on the path of old glory. In the season 2019/20, with the help of Anthony Davis and the Lakers team, they won the Lakers’ 17th title. As if the successes on the court weren’t enough, James is also expanding his empire in sport’s shoes and clothes, and you can also feel his irresistible power in our skateboard named “The King”.

The third skate from our Grosbasket X JH_boards collection will inspire you with an eternal love of the game and give you the feeling of incredible energy, skill and lightness. Here is “The Wonderboy”! 🔥

Luka is a Slovenian basketball player who started his career in this small European country. At a very young age, he moved to Spain and as the youngest player in history, he debuted for the Real Madrid senior team when he was only 16 years old. Next year, he played a big role in helping the Slovenian team to win the European Championship title. In 2018, he led Madrid to the EuroLeague title, winning the EuroLeague MVP as well as the Final Four MVP. At 19, he entered the NBA and joined the Dallas Mavericks as the third overall pick. With the attractive and playful style of play, he convinced many of those who doubted that this European player will shine among the NBA stars. He was selected unanimously to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and won Rookie of the Year. The second year in the league brought him an All-Star title, a signed contract with the Jordan brand, and the first Playoff appearance where he broke the record for most points scored with 42.
